The town of Jamestown has announced the return of its traditional Easter egg hunt to Allen Park. The event will take place on Saturday, April 16 starting at 11 a.m.

The age groups will be distributed, the 4 years and under in front of the large pavilion and the kitchen; 5-8 by the basketball court; and 9-12 by the small pavilion. There will be over 300 eggs and plenty of candy for everyone. The Easter Bunny and Whiffy the Tarp Skunk will make special appearances.

The event is free and open to the public.

“We are extremely excited to be able to hold our traditional Easter Egg Hunt this year after a few years of having to modify the event due to COVID, and we are happy to be able to do this for the children of Jamestown,” said city parks manager Dan Stone.

The event is sponsored by the city, Pro Hardware, Allen Park Women’s Club, Jamestown Fire Department, AFSCME local 418 – DPW & Parks Employees, JURA JCAA – Jamestown City Administrative Association, Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Babe Ruth League, Jamestown Area Midget Football League, Chautauqua County Children’s Advocacy Program and Frewsburg Football Club.
