Agassiz Speedway ramps up for the new season with the first promotional event of 2022

Promoters and race cars will be set up at the Chilliwack Coliseum

It’s starting to look a lot like racing season.

Promoters of Agassiz Speedway are primed and ready for their 50th year of racing at the iconic track with the first promotional display booth of the year. They will be at back-to-back Chilliwack Chiefs games Feb. 26-27 at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

Two race cars – No. 03 Rick Rogers Midget Class and No. 11 Troy Globe Midget Class – will be lifted by crane to the interior concourse level of the Coliseum for display with a pit cart.

There, promoters will hand out free passes to Agassiz Speedway races. There will also be autographed souvenir shirts, hats and photos from both games.

The racing season opens May 7 with the Mel Powers Classic, featuring Mini, Street, Hornet and Midget classes. The season ends on September 24, the day of the championship.
