LAKELAND, Fla .– Driver Jeff Champagne and team owner Marc Dailey are joining forces to host the 36th annual Lucas Oil Chili-Bowl Nationals which kicks off on January 10.
Champagne will make his third race attempt in the prestigious event behind the wheel of a white and black midget # 12M Spike Chassis sponsored by Hotsy-Clean.
âThis will now be my third time on Chili Bowl land and I look forward to using what I have learned to gain a better understanding of the changes he is undergoing,â said Champagne. âHaving a race car that offers consistency in every lap builds your confidence. “
At last year’s Chili Bowl, Champagne teamed up with one of USAC’s youngest pilot-owners at Sam Johnson and won the main F.
However, a 10th place in the E function prevented Champagne from advancing further.
âLast year’s Chili Bowl gave me and Sam a lot of challenges,â said Champagne. âSince Sam is also a young pilot, we are grateful for the experiences we have had from what they have taught.
âEven though it took me longer than I imagined. I am now heading into 2022 with the support of the strongest group of manufacturers, sponsors and people in my career. ”
In addition to Hotsy-Clean, Champagne’s entry is supported by Pease Plumbing & Heating, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, Vahlco Racing Wheels, K1 RaceGear, JS Customs and Indy Racing Experience.
