Due to the response received during the previous campaign, Converse South Africa will be offering R2 million for student debt relief, under the new campaign name.

The brand says, “Youth development is hugely important as we need to optimize the development progress of young people. We allow students to flourish in their respective educational paths without the fear of poverty stopping them.

Converse also aims to guide students towards their goals by offering mentorship by experts who have overcome the same challenges before.

Converse says it has a community of “All Stars” who have been taken under the brand’s wing and given the opportunity to be part of skill-building workshops and mentoring discussions with experts in their industries.

Converse made it possible for the ‘All Stars’ to be part of the mural designs in South Africa and created global opportunities for young people.

In addition to the R2 million pledge, Converse will also be offering an additional R500,000 to next generation creatives.
