NFL Hokies gear up for final month of regular season

Washington football team
All four Hokies were instrumental in Washington’s 17-15 victory over Las Vegas last week. K Brian johnson, who signed with Washington out of the Chicago practice team last week, scored the game-winning 48-yard goal with 37 seconds left to lead his new team to victory. TE Logan Thomas recorded three receptions for 48 yards with a seven-yard touchdown to open the scoring. CB Kendall Fuller recorded eight tackles in the game and DT Tim Settle made a tackle.
Washington (6-6) hosts Dallas (8-4) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

Pittsburgh Minnesota – 8:20 p.m. ET – FOX
NFL Week 14’s first Hokie vs. Hokie game is Thursday Night Football as S Terrell Edmunds and the Steelers visit T Christian darrisaw and the Vikings. Edmunds made four tackles in Pittsburgh’s win over Baltimore while Darrisaw did not play due to injury in Minnesota’s loss to Detroit. Darrisaw did not train with Minnesota on Tuesday and is questionable to play in the game.
Sunday 12 December
Baltimore to Cleveland – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
Following last week’s loss to Pittsburgh, Baltimore and S Chuck Clark face another divisional test when they travel to Cleveland to face the Browns and G Wyatt Teller. Clark made five tackles and defended one assist last week as Teller and the Browns took advantage of their week off. Teller has started all 12 games at Cleveland right guard this season.

Seattle to Houston – 1 p.m. ET – FOX
This game features teams with Hokies as T Duane Brown and the Seahawks visit the Texans and QB Tyrod Taylor. However, Taylor left last week’s loss to Indianapolis with a torn wrist ligament and is not expected to play on Sunday. Brown started off on the left tackle and played 100% of the offensive shots in the Seahawks’ victory over rival San Francisco.

Las Vegas to Kansas City – 1 p.m. ET – CBS
Raiders LB Divine deablo had his best game of a young professional career as the rookie recorded 11 tackles in the team’s loss to Washington last week. Hokie’s teammate CB Brandon Facyson started at the cornerback and made three tackles in the loss. The Tech and Las Vegas duo travel to Kansas City for a game with divisional foe the Chiefs on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Detroit to Denver – 4:05 p.m. ET – FOX
Broncos’ CB Kyle Fuller started off and recorded a defended pass in Denver’s loss to Kansas City last week. The Broncos host Detroit Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Buffalo to Tampa Bay – 4:25 p.m. ET – CBS
The Bills and LB Tremaine Edmunds face a test drive against defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay and head coach Bruce Arians this week. Edmunds made six tackles, including one for loss, in Buffalo Monday Night Football’s loss to New England. Arians has led the Buccaneers to a 9-3 record this season. Tampa Bay is currently positioned as the No. 3 seed in the NFC.
Chicago to Green Bay – 8:20 p.m. ET – NBC
Hokie vs. Hokie match on Sunday Night Football concludes Week 14 fixture list featuring Tech alumni as RB Khalil Herbert and the Bears face off against divisional rival Green Bay and T Yosh Nijman. In last week’s loss to Arizona, Herbert carried the ball four times for 16 yards and returned two kickoffs for 49 yards. Nijman and the Packers enjoyed their goodbyes last week.
Goodbye hokies
One Hokie is enjoying his goodbye this week as the WR Isaiah Ford and the Dolphins are gone. In last week’s 20-9 win over the Giants, Ford recorded a two-yard touchdown, the second of his career, to extend Miami’s lead in the fourth quarter. The Ford Dolphins have won five straight games.
