COVID vaccine and testing
Rush Memorial Hospital has opened a vaccine testing and COVID testing clinic in the former First Financial Bank building on the north side of Rushville. The building is located at the corner of Main Street and Foster Heights Road.
These services are provided free to the public through the Indiana State Department of Health and Rush County Department of Health.
The new location is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of each month.
Tests are still available at the RMH walk-in clinic, but patients will now need to be seen for an appointment and their insurance will be billed for all services provided in the walk-in clinic.
RCHS all sports tickets
Rushville Consolidated High School will begin selling tickets for all sports from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting August 2 in the athletic office.
Tickets will also be on sale for the first two home football matches. These tickets will cover all regular home sports contests, but do not include tournaments.
The RCHS will charge admission for the 2022 baseball and softball games and tickets for all sports will also be accepted.

All Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midgets
The All Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midget race which was canceled on June 19 has been postponed to Friday August 13 at Rush County Fairgrounds.
Manila frying fish
The Manilla Fish Fry (and the Net) will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 13 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 14 at the Manila Fire Station. Tickets for a chance to win a whole pork and a 1/2 Angus beef (processing included) can be purchased from members of the Manila Fire Department or at Fried Fish. You don’t have to be there to win.
Annual Lykins Golf Outing
The Greensburg Country Club will host the annual Lykins Charity Golf Outing. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 14. Over the past 10 years, this golf outing has raised over $ 150,000 to help families struggling with unique challenges. With 180 participants, we expect the tournament to last at least six hours. The course will be closed most of the day, but will open after all play is over with the golf exit.
RPL annual fundraiser
The Rushville Public Library’s annual fundraiser will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on August 20 at RPL Discovery Park. Tickets are available at a cost of $ 20 each or $ 35 per couple and can be purchased at the library. The meal includes a choice of rib eye or chicken breast with a live auction and raffles throughout the evening. Music will be provided by Scot Schrader with Brian Sheehan MC’ing. A beer and wine bar opens at 5.30 p.m.
RMHF Golf Outing

Jim Evans Golf Outing
The second annual Jimmy “Van” Coach Evans golf outing will take place with a shotgun start at 10 am on Saturday August 28 at the Antler Pointe Golf Club. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rushville Lions Athletic Fund. Registration fees for individuals are $ 50 and for teams of four, $ 200. Rush County Historical Society
The Rush County Historical Society Museum (619 North Perkins Street, Rushville) will be holding open houses from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month until December 2021. The dates are September 5, October 3, November 7 and December. 5 (time to be determined in December).
