After having a day off Thursday, the Tennessee Titans returned to the field on Friday for the eighth day of training camp.
Here are a few remarks:
Caleb Farley more involved, gets coached
The 2021 Titans’ first-round pick has taken part in team drills for the first time. Farley played in a 7-7 red zone, where he was mostly lined up against third-year wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
He broke a pass to wide receiver Cam Batson, but he looked too catchy with Batson. This has perhaps been called a live action penalty.
Farley also had some teachable moments when he was exposed in a combination blanket exercise. During the special teams period that followed, he worked on one of the secondary fields with veteran cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins and safety Kevin Byard on his technique and leverage. Jenkins, Byard and secondary coach Anthony Midget shared advice with him. Defensive coordinator Shane Bowen watched the exchange.

Cody Hollister injured
At the start of an 11-11 period, wide receiver Cody Hollister was taken off the field for what appeared to be a leg injury. He was injured in a fall in the middle of the field.
The 6-foot-4 Hollister fought for a spot in a very heavy wide receiver room.
McCann and Ficken miss FG each
Tucker McCann went 6 for 7 on field goals for the day, and Sam Ficken went 5 for 6.
McCann won the day with six FGs – 6 for 6 to 5 for 6 from Ficken – before missing a 53 yards in an unscripted team period.
Remarkable pieces
- 7v7: tight end Anthony Firsker ran a turn to the back of the end zone and jumped to make a touchdown reception as he fell back. Safety Kevin Byard was all over him in the air. It was quite the catch with for Firkser with the little space to work.
- 11-11: Second-year cornerback Kristian Fulton snapped a pass for star receiver AJ Brown near midfielder, and linebacker David Long Jr. recovered the interception
Back in the field
Wide receiver Josh Reynolds, who missed five practices with an undisclosed injury, returned on Friday. Also back on the field is outside linebacker Harold Landry III, who has returned to do some one-on-one work. He had missed Wednesday’s practice after leaving early Tuesday.
