MEDFORD, Ore. — Rowdy Energy, the hydration-enhanced formula energy drink created by two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, will sponsor up-and-coming micro-sprint racer Ashton Torgerson.

The 15-year-old Oregon native has also been added to Rowdy Energy’s roster of athletes for the 2022 season.

“Ashton is a perfect fit for Rowdy Energy. On the track he is very fast, has won a few races and is developing in his art of micro sprint racing on dirt,” Busch said. “As he travels the West Coast on a variety of different trails, he will be a great ambassador for our brand and help us build awareness of our product as we continue to grow our portfolio of vendor partners on the West Coast. “

Torgerson turned heads at the 37th Tulsa Shootout, winning three heat races in the biggest and most prestigious micro sprint race in the world.

The two-time Lonnie Kaiser Memorial Super 600 winner won the 2021 Dixon Speedway Track Championship. He was also the champion at Dixon Speedway in 2019 in the restricted division.

The 2022 Rowdy Energy #02 sponsored micro sprint season will see Torgerson compete for the Dixon Speedway and Stockton’s Delta Speedway championships.

He will participate in more than 60 days of racing with winged and non-winged competitions planned.

“It means a lot for a young driver to have the support of a NASCAR Cup Series champion and become a Rowdy Energy athlete,” Torgerson said. “I can’t wait to race and get wins and championships with Kyle’s support.”
